Makli, The City of Silence (World's Largest Graveyard) |

If
we have a glance at the area map of Thatta, we will see a spot containing all
the historical, cultural, archaeological, and natural beauties, which is named
as Makli, a branch of Khirthar Mountain. On the end of these mountains are the
names like Kuro, Darrihiaro, and Khirthar which gets a shape of a junction at
its end in District Dadu of Toung. Different hills are originated from this
junction named Kanbhoo, Soorjannu, Denar, Kohistan and Lakki range a part of
this mounding range leads towards Makli as well as towards the South and West of
Sindh. Whereas, the end of the Kohistan range reaches in North East of Lakki. Map
describes Makli as a remote branch of Khirthar Mountain, which passes from
North to Samoi and ends at Pir Patho.
